The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is an American stealth aircraft. Its designation F (Fighter) was assigned during its testing period, since due to its strict secrecy, fighter pilots were selected as part of the new flight group, so despite being a bomber (B-117) with designation A (Attack), it ended up being known as a first-generation stealth fighter. However, due to the bombings carried out by these aircraft in the Gulf War, it would also allow it to enter the classification of tactical bomber with designation B (Bomber); This is relevant since the aircraft can enter enemy territory without being detected and eliminate targets with free-fall or remotely controlled bombs, thus fulfilling the medium-range bombing function.
